There's a small amount of music videos these days that really effect the viewer in a way that initiates an emotional reaction. You see videos that are all about cars, girls, concerts, or other stuff that doesn't really make sense in relation to the song. Killswitch Engage went against the grain and filmed a music video that not only relates to the song, but it relates to the viewers on a deep, personal level.
The song entitled, "Always" is a powerful song as it is. Adding the visuals to the song makes it even more powerful. Most of us know at least one person that has gone through what the characters are going through in the video, some of us had to deal with it directly so it's easy to see why this song is so powerful. For those of us that have never been this involved in this part of life get a small glimpse of what these people have to go through.
It's always nice to see bands do videos like this. It's nice to see a story that is in relation to the song. It's a rare treat and it makes the music video more about the story of the song and not just the band. Don't get me wrong, there are some amazing videos out there that do the opposite of what these guys have done. This video is produced and directed by some amazing people and all their hard work shows in the video. Check it out if you haven't already!
