Video Breakdown: Korn - Insane

Korn has always been that band that pushes the envelope. This one places actual events in history with (arguably) people inner most fear. Let's talk about it.

As some of you may know, people way back in the day had a weird obsession with the recently deceased. They would pose them and have a photo session for them to keep with them for all time. If that isn't creepy, I don't know what is. Why on earth would you want to keep something like that?? Not only that, why would you want to be the photographer for something like that?? What if the body decided it wanted to come back to life and all of a sudden it takes a deep breath while your head is under that cloth? What if you're looking through the view finder and all of a sudden the body moves? No thank you....

That's what this video is about. Imagine being a photographer and this is your first gig and you find out that you're taking a portrait of a dead body? If it was me, I'd quit on the spot!

Either way, this video is well done. It showcases the fear that this photographer has about doing this. It's shot in the classic, "Korn Grungy" look which gives it even more of an eerie feeling.

One thing to take away from this video is that we all should be glad technology was limited back then, imagine if someone today asked a video guy to make a short video of a recently deceased person like at a bus stop or making them look like they're buying groceries. If someone asks me that, I'm telling them South Town is closed for business haha.

If you haven't seen the video, check it out here.

Pleasant dreams...
